    The week

Well this has been a crazy weekend so far. Now sitting waiting for the race to begin, but as with most of the east cost it is raining there. Took the older child to the plane, went to Florida for the week with her college room mate. She was not real excited to be going on her own, haa haa haa. The other one has spent most of yesterday and all of today and then tonite at her friends house. Had to run her around yesterday for that. Had a party to go to yesterday, another today, but didn't get to that one. Went shoppg for myself also, will be cleaning for a while tomorrow then off to a picnic with my side. In between, father-in-law had a stroke and is in the hospitol and have been visiting him. Glad the work week will be short this week and have a colonoscopy on Thursday which will shorten it even more. Well off to play some games on facebook. Later!

Any signs of life out here???

Just wondering if there are any actual life forms out here on the MSN. Have not been here in ages and figured I see if I missed anything. Not looking like it. Will come back in a few days to check again!

    Finally nice weater............

...is here, okay, so it is accompanied with lots of rain, but the temps are getting so nice will have to suffer the rain and mud of the melting snow! Today there is even sun!

Healthwise, I am not moving as fast as I hoped, even though they told me it would be a long haul. Have checked all the information on the web and so as soon as the official results come in, we should have a game plan worked out for which ever one it turns out to be.

Time for the spring sports sign ups. So far the taker is softball, kiddo should have fun with that. The other one is doing the application for National Honor Society. She also got the pics back from the school where they did them of her and her boyfriend and they are awesome. They had fun and it looks cool!

Can't wait for the race this weekend, yippee, will be very exciting! Well back to work, later!

    Getting There!!!

Yippee, I am finally not so tired today! I am hoping this means I am getting on the other side of this. I know it will still be a while for it to be much better, but I will take the baby steps and run!

We are flooding. The ice and snow are melting really fast with the pouring rain. The only bright side is that when it is all said and done, we will be rid of the snow. I know I really wanted it and looked forward to it, but it is now very, very dirty looking and definitely not pretty anymore.

    Well maybe more later!
    March 13

    Been a while

Yep, I know it has been a while. Got back downstairs from the front desk and moved right into the ticket sale stuff. Been taking up every free second of the day with the crazy amount of time it all entails. Sheesh!

Been in and out of the hospital and am now facing a lifetime of meds, but at least I won't have to go through what I have been through again, now that we know.

Girls are very, very busy! Getting ready for official prom and spring sports.

The 42 inches of snow that fell in Valentine's Day is finally starting to melt, yippeeee!!

    Nascar is back full time!!!!!!
    February 05

    Well, still bitter cold!

Still below zero nights and just a few degrees during the day, but the big thing is the wind chill. It is keeping the temps way below and they have not lifted the warnings. It is supposed to be a high of 14 tomorrow, so that will really feel good as the wind is supposed to die donw. I can live with that.

It does seem I have irritated everyone with my earlier post. I am definitely not looking for comments, I am not one of those that needs them to feed off of, I was only looking for people to actually notice what is going on in my life as well. It would not have even made any difference but when I see the posts on others pages, I feel as if there isn't the time to read mine. Oh well, I will stop being a big baby and move on.

Today at work we had the big ticket meeting. The game tickets will now be handled by a higher up in our department. He will only be doing some of it. I will have to handle the whole customer service side of it and will have to assign the wheelchair and special seeting. One of the fulfillment people will be doing the actual shipping of them. Her and I will have to handle the will call window on game day. No problem we can handle it. I have been informed tho that I am to be the only one doing this from my helpers. Hmmmm.......

Well, yippeeeeeeee, Nascar Pre Season Thunder starts on SpeedTV tonight. Finally somehting good to watch. I can't tell you how I have missed my boys! So on that note, off to watch! Nite!

    February 03

    I love this!

This being the msn spaces page. As I have mentioned I have been a regular poster on yahoo, but I love the look of msn spaces. I just had to come back over here. I don't have anyone that posts responses but I do know that there are few that do read. Although some with more frequency. I come here just to look at the page, in my own personal opinion, it runs circles around the look of the yahoo page. I also have an myspace account and I really, really love my page there, but there is still something about this one. I leave my friends regular comments on their myspace pages and I look at their yahoo pages every day without fail, but always coming back here just to look at my page. I know, very weird, but that would be me.

Now let me tell you how cold it is here. We are under bitter cold alerts. The high today was 9 and the wind is blowing 15 - 20 mph, putting the wind chill at way below zero. Being in upstate NY, this is what you expect in the winter, so I am not complaining up a storm, only a little. I have been sitting on my butt for the last 2 weeks at work and would love to get out and do something, but will have to wait until next week with the slightly warmer weater, even not having the wind blowing, it would be much warmer.

Volleyball is now officially over!! Enjoyed watching the games, but still glad to see the running around over. I know she will enjoy it more next year as she will have had one year under her belt and is now at the top of her game. The other one called me first thing this morning as she had spent the nite at her friends last nite and wanted us to come get her early this morning because she missed me. Hee hee hee, now if I had said that to her she would have scuffed at it.

Getting ready for the game ticket meeting on Monday. Will find out how much of it we take over for this year. I have already been told that I have to be accesible for each and every thing from now until the game. I have also been told that they want me to probably do it exclusively and not with much help from my employees, hmmmm. I will also be sitting at the will coll window on game day. Next year we will do it from start to finish, including the designing the ticket. Will post what the outcome of that meeting entails.

Anyway, guess this is getting long winded. Nite!!!!

    Friends

Well I spend time posting blogs that are very short and sweet on yahoo for my friends to read to keep up with my life. So in theory they should know what is going on, correct? Now I spend everyday looking at theirs and leaving comments (well most of the time, sometimes the comments I want to leave should be kept to myself) even when theirs takes forever to read as they are usually very long and mostly hard to read with the colored letters and fancy pics for backgrounds. It would appear that the favor is not returned. I have been doing a different job for a few weeks now and I am still getting messages at my regular phone number and at my regular desk as if I was still there. I will be back at that job next Wednesday, let's see if any of my friends even bother to notice. Not betting on it!

    Okay enough complaining. Nite!

    January 31

    Still upstairs

Yep, I am still upstairs covering the front desk. Yep, still a boring job. Should find out tomorow sometime when I will be finished at least on the everyday aspect of it. I will stil have to come and cover breaks and vacation and sick days, however, not every day for weeks on end.

Hubby got results of MRI and not good. Has 2 more bulging disks, bone fragments floating all over, the spacing between the disks is not big enough and he has the bone degenerative, so he will go see a spine specialist and see where it goes from there.

Kiddos have been busy as ever. I am counting down the days till speedweeks. I need to see some racing!

That is all that is new. Later

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - An 800-horsepower Shelby Cobra, once the personal car of the racing veteran who developed the iconic sports car, has sold for $5.5 million at auction, a record for an American car.

The sale of the 1966 Shelby Cobra "Super Snake" brought a packed house to its feet Saturday at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction after a pair of bidders drove the price up.

Carroll Shelby, 84, who created the Cobra in the '60s using Ford engines and a British sport car chassis, said he built the Super Snake — with twin superchargers on a 427 cubic inch V-8 — and drove it for years.

"It's a special car. It would do just over three seconds to 60 (mph), 40 years ago," Shelby told the crowd before the sale.

"I killed a buzzard with it," he said. "Nasty, nasty."

The car had a twin, built for comedian Bill Cosby, but that car was destroyed in an accident while being driven by another owner, according to the Barrett-Jackson Web site.

Barrett-Jackson said the $5.5 million price tag for the Cobra was not an overall world record car price, since others have sold at auction for more than $11 million. However, it is a world record for American cars, said Steve Davis, Barrett-Jackson president.

The winning bidder was car collector Ron Pratt of suburban Chandler. Last year, he paid $4.32 million for the Futureliner, one of 12 futuristic buses used for shows in the 1940s and '50s by General Motors.

    Opppsss

Guess it has been a few days since writing. Well started working up at the front desk. Took everything I could ever need with me in a bag so that I would have things to do and munch on and to look at. Was still very boring. Not my favorite place. Have to have coverage to even go potty! Like anyone wants to hear that they have to cover for that!

Finally got about 5 inches of snow. Another big lake effect snow warning that we never got. Wind was blowing 20-25 mph and the temp was only 1 degree so it was very cold. This morning it was 12 below. Brrrrrrrr, but that is winter.

Ran the kiddos all around this weekend. They went from on friends house to another. Left me with the free time in between so guess all in all not so bad.

We have been watching the Barrett-Jackson Auctions on the Speed Channel. It is actually kind of interesting when you get into it a little. I watched it some last year, but didn't understand much of it. Now I remember seeing some of the same bidders from then back again. Big business that is.

Well off to finish cleaning and the hated laundry!

    January 17

    Yawn

Yep, as you can guess, pretty boring today. Still pretty cold. Got to 15 degrees today. Was down to 8 below this morning when we got up. We did end up with enough snow flurries to get us like 2 inches of snow. Very light and fluffy as it was so cold. Supposed to be chilly again tonight.

Spending lots of time running back and forth between taking kiddos to and from volleyball games and practices and other school events that I am pretty grateful to just be sitting a few minutes inbetween. Am actually having a beer right now.

I will be going up to cover the front desk at work and be the main operator there. I will also be the person at the front desk that everyone will see when they come to the offices. Have to dress up for that and I am not overly fond of this. I am a pretty relaxed person so this will be hard for me. Guess I have to do it anyway. Ohhhhhhh well!

Well want to enjoy this "drink" so off for now. Nite!

    January 16

    16 degrees and..........................

Of course the furnace is down. All those nice days, it was fine, nooooo it waits till the coldest we have had in a little bit. I guess we should be grateful that it was not during the night when it is supposed to be just below zero. Shouldn't really complain, it was expensive to put in, it is one of those big outdoor wood furnaces and this is the 3rd year that we have had it and of course using only wood it has not cost us any money for heat or to heat the hot water except for this bill to fix it. Yesterday during the ice storm, the power went off and it surged. There is a surge protector on it but it starting heatin the wires and by 9:30 this morning had burned them out. The bill only came to slightly over $200 so all in all pretty cheap I guess.

The temp has dropped from 22 degrees this morning to now only 15 degrees and the wind is really whipping. We are getting the cold snap that was predicted. Figures, we never get the snow or anything like that when they say. We only got some snow flurries today. Will see if we get any tomorrow. Well off to pick up the girls!

    January 15

    Ice Storm

Yep, we were in it's wings. Got lots of it. Still raining and has been since last night. It is 2 degrees above freezing right now so most of the ice has melted, but the infernal rain is still coming down and I guess it will be for a while. Hmmmmm, eventually there will be no where for it to go.

This watching TV is actually starting to get old. I am bored and we have totally cleaned the house from one end to the other.

Hubby is finally done with the meat. Guess I should mention that we raise our own pork and beef. The pork is wrapped and in the freezer. Now in the process of making sausage. He really does make the best sausage and friends are now asking if he can make extra that they can buy. He makes the hot and sweet kind and once in a while an inbetween kind. I love the hot, the flavor is awesome!

Finishing up the last of the books I got for Christmas. Will have to search Ebay or Barnes and Noble.com for more. I just love to read. Well off to make dinner. Nite!

    Pics Posted

Okay, I have posted some of the pics of the happy couple from the Snow Ball dance. They sure looked great! They went to a semi fancy place to eat in jeans that the rest of the group had decided they were going to wear and then changed their minds and didn't let my two know about so they felt very uncomfortable at dinner. One of the other couples were fighting and the girl had argued with her father and refused to speak to anyone the whole night. The waitress that they had was not happy about serving teenagers and it took them 2 hours for dinner and this made them over and hour late for the Ball and it was only 3 hours total, so they didn't get as much time for dancing. All in all, it was only okay, this being because they looked so good!

Still a busy weekend here, little one running around with her friends and making more plans for tomorrow. Not sure how this will go as we have been having freezing rain all day and more is on the way for tonight. It is not supposed to stop until late tomorrow. Good thing I don't have to work tomorrow. Yippee!!

Course this does mean more time to clean, yuk! Have lots of laundry now that they have been on the run all weekend. Ordered the new windows vista premium disk for daughters laptop, gets it free. Will see how it is and then perhaps will upgrade myself sometime. Course it will cost me!

    Well off to surf! Nite
    January 13

    Snow Ball

So my oldest one if off to the Snow Ball. Of course there  is not any snow, which sucks. She looked jus beautiful and her boyfriend and his grandparents thought she looked awesome, so guess all the running around and the money we both spent was worth it. Next comes the Prom. That is in May, although she already has her dress.

It was supposed to take anywhere from 8-12 weeks for the 2007 styles to ship, so we had her order it early and of course it showed up the other day. Guess we will be prepared in advance. Now she can really concentrate on all that goes with it and have a nice long time to choose exactly what she wants for each little thing. This is her big Prom. Last years was her boyfriends.

Younger one is at her friends. They are having a skating party and then a sleepover for her friends birthday. She should be having lots of fun. It is just very weird to have a whole Saturday afternoon all to myself. Very quiet, maybe  I will spend it reading or watching the boob tube. Scracth that, nothing on so reading it will be mixd with a little surfing.

    Well later!
    January 11

    Snow

So the snow turned out to not be very much at all. Same old, same old. We have not gotten all the much in a few years now. I am glad that I don't have a snowmobile payment, it would be very depressing as you have to travel like 100 miles to even use one.

Well I have been officially dapped the "Bat Lady". I have gotten call and message after call and message looking for me and being referred to as this name. Sheesh, guess I have been called worse though so I should appreciate it.

Well I have talked through lunch, so I should get back to work. Later

    Guestbook

    Hey there, leave me one!!

    Back

At work today. Eye still hurts, but definitely not as much as the last 2 days.

Am getting the expected call after call at work with people looking for the 2007 Induction Bat. I knew as soon as the announcement for the Inductees was made they would start calling. This year is going to be a blast and be as much fun or even more than 1999 was.

Finally getting our first biggish snow of the year. Happy about that, we need some. Will let you know how much we actually end up getting.

    Well back to work, later!

    January 09

    Yep

Here I am home again today. Have a virus in my eye. At least is isn't the bacterial kind that gets all gunky, it is just swollen, red and really hurts. This showed up yesterday as the headach was starting to ease up a little. Go figure!

It did give me the extra time to finish reading all 6 of the Harry Potter books. They were actually really interesting. I saw the movies first and then read the books this last 2 weeks and of course there is so much more in the books. Like in the Goblet of Fire, the 5th year, the book is like 860 pages, which makes it impossible to put it all in a movie for the younger set. My daughter and I also sat down this weekend and watch all 4 of the movies over again. I can't wait to read the 7th one when it comes out to hopefully complete their lives. Imagine, at my age?

On the other hand Nascar Preseason Thunder has started. Granted it is only at the point 1 half hour show each day, but it is better than nothing!

Well perhaps I will be at work tomorrow! Later
